Building the "GEOPLAST eco-compatible home" is done starting from the foundations: with Modulo System, or using New Elevetor, a sanitary void is created beneath the slab. The effect is the removal of moisture and Radon gas, which naturally seep through the soil and tend to accumulate in the ground-floor of buildings and are inhaled by their inhabitants. Both are unhealthy, particularly Radon gas, which can be deadly if inhaled over a long period of time.
All concrete walls, columns and slabs can be poured using the Geotub, Geopanel and Geosky plastic formwork systems: reducing the amount of timber used by the building industry, they help to fight one of the causes of deforestation. Once arrived to the roof it's possible to create a garden using Geodrein, giving back to Nature the green space that was taken away by the building; at the same time you'll benefit of a cooler roof in Summer and a warmer one in Winter, saving energy.
To live your home fully though you should not confine yourself to the indoors: you should enjoy a lovely garden. Using Salvaverde and Geoflor it is possible to park your car and walk on a lawn that would otherwise have been delicate and untouchable, or even worse a flat strip of black asphalt. The Geocycle system keeps the green area irrigated , storing and reusing stormwater, avoiding the waste of precious drinking water. Using Drening, underground stormwater storage and infiltration systems can be built: a safe and healthy alternative to artificial stormwater pits. No more smelly stagnant water and mosquitoes!
